Botswana Launches the Ecotourism Manual
Botswana is endowed with great wildlife and wilderness, scenic beauty, unique ecological, archaeological and cultural characteristics which have been the basis for tourist arrivals. While there is a need to continue to grow the number of tourists arriving to enjoy the benefits associated with Botswana tourism product, the challenge is sustainability of our nature-based product.
In view of the foregoing, the need to ensure that Botswana's nature-based tourism is protected and enhanced, policies and framework have been developed over the years to ensure that tourism development in Botswana is of economical benefit to the host communities while at the same time promoting conservation. Consequently, below is the ecotourism best practice manual and a technical report used to inform the development of the manual.
