Description
This species is almost endemic to Botswana as 95% of the species occur here. The long, broad, creamy eyebrow is conspicuous. It has buff-fringed feathers on its back with broad blackish centres. The call is distinctive.
Voice
The call is a loud descending peeeeuuuu and also other short phrases.

Behaviour and habitat
The bird favours sparsely vegetated semi-arid acacia savanna. It is normally seen sitting on top of a small bush or shrub, making its distinctive call. Food consists of insects, mainly termites and ants. The bird is monogamous and its cup nest is placed at the base of a small bush. |
