Selinda Explorers Camp is located in the 130,000 hectare Selinda Reserve of northern Botswana and is built on the banks of the Selinda Spillway, about one hour west of its sister camp, Selinda. This classic camp transports us back to the time of authentic safaris, but with a modern twist and hospitality. The camp’s focal point is the Bedouin-style main area consisting of a lounge and separate dining room. The four guest's tents provide comfort and style but with a magnificently raw spirit. Subtly placed under the shade of the riverine forest, the camp is designed in the style of the early explorers both in philosophy and practice. Whiling away afternoons under the canopy of African ebony and Mopane trees, interspersed with walks and canoeing, make this a respite from the ‘daily grind' of a traditional safari.

Tau Pan is the first semi-permanent camp inside the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and offers truly incredible views from the elevated ridge of an ancient sand dune, an unusual experience in a land as flat as Botswana, and overlooks the famous Tau Pan - recognised for its stark beauty and remoteness.
Activities offered at Tau Pan are game drives, day trips to the well-known Deception Valley, Sunday, Piper and Passarge Pans, star gazing, and nature walks with Bushman trackers.
‘Tau’ which means lion in Setswana, is so named for the pride of iconic black-maned Kalahari lions who frequent the camp (with a particular preference for the family tent!).
Species that can be found in the Kalahari include oryx, the desert-adapted springbok, jackals, the rare brown hyena, red-crested Korhaan and herds of wildebeest.

Ta Shebube consists of two lodges, one at Rooiputs and one at Polentswa. Each lodge promotes high quality, low density tourism and is large enough to cater for groups of family and friends, yet small enough to ensure that all guests will experience the tranquillity and solitude that make Kgalagadi such desirable holiday destination.
The KTP is malaria free.
Rooiputs is located on the Botswana side of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, 25 km north of Two Rivers (Twee Rivieren). Situated off the predator-rich Nossob valley, the lodge is perched along a mature red sand dune, overlooking a busy water hole.
Polentswa is located 222 km from Two Rivers. The camp is nestled amongst tall trees and dwarf scrubs overlooking the Polentswa Pan with its waterhole and exciting game.

Romance in the Kalahari
Imagine a smattering of billowing white tents, shaded by desert palms and surrounded by a thousand acres of shimmering, sparkling nothingness. You’ve just dreamt up San Camp, our impossibly romantic, seven-bedroom camp on the edge of the Ntwetwe Pan in Botswana’s Makgadikgadi. San isn’t a place for frills and fluffiness. The magic is in the minimalism, both at the camp and in the mysterious desert landscape. You can forget the tourist crowds and over-stuffed 4x4s too; it’s just you, the wildlife, and a handful of local San Bushmen, waiting to share their secrets with you.
Of all the Makgadikgadi pans, we think Ntwetwe is the most iconic. Meerkats pop up from the desert dust, brown hyaena hide in the grass, and you’ll see red hartebeest, springbok and gemsbok scurrying between them. But San Camp isn’t just about wildlife-watching – it’s about the atmosphere and the ethereal surroundings. Disappear into a remote world, a million miles from glowing screens and fruit-themed devices, where the 360-degree panoramas are so vast, you can see the curvature of the earth…
Fully inclusive accommodation. Inclusive of all meals, all drinks except premium brands and all-inclusive activities. Inclusive activities: Game drives in the reserve, Meerkat interaction, Bushmen walk, Quad biking across the pans (seasonal), visit to Chapman’s Baobab. Horse riding & Helicopter rides at additional cost.

The Baobab Capital of the world
Follow the road pointed out by the giant anteater and you’ll discover the intriguingly named Planet Baobab… This is the Baobab Capital of the World, where the average age of each tree is more than 4000 years, and the boundless lunar landscape of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans is the size of Switzerland. How’s that for awe-inspiring?
This is a quirky place in a quirky part of the world, where we live cheek to tusk with old elephants; sleep in basic but oh so Afro-chic Bakalanga Huts; swim in the largest, coolest pool in the Kalahari; eat the finest Pan-African cuisine, and of course, drink something cold with hunters and vagabonds, travelers and locals in the funkiest bar in Africa. It’s the coolest desert oasis around – and a part of Africa that few will experience, but all will remember.
Dinner, Bed & Breakfast accommodation. Activities on offer can be booked separately at an additional cost (please visit our website for activity options). We do also offer camping options.
